The Law, Domestic Abuse and the Church

Church/ministry leaders will learn how the recent changes in the law impacts how they have to deal with victims domestic violence and abuse

The Black Church Domestic Abuse Forum (BCDAF) comprises a group of black Christians, who provide training and information to help Britain’s black majority churches address the issues of domestic abuse and violence in their congregation.

This specially convened meeting entitled, The Law, Domestic Abuse and The Church aims to provide church leaders, Ministry Leaders, Heads of Church Departments information about how recent changes in the law impacts the kind of support churches are now required to provide to members who state they are experiencing DV and abuse.

Nicole Jacobs, Britain’s first ever Domestic Abuse Commissioner, appointed by the government, is the special guest speaker.
